Magic Watch

If you wave and wave your magic watch, then it will take you to the Underworld. You will see lots of gold and jewellery. When the long and short hands are pointing to midnight, you will be locked in the Underworld. Suddenly, the watch face will say “NO WAY OUT!” A good wizard will appear in front of you. He will sleep with you. He will protect you because everything come to life and become monsters. You will see the flowers, trees, tables, and chairs are trying to attack you. The wizard will wave his magic wand until daytime and then you can get out of the Underworld and go home.

Don’t forget you like fresh air!

Public transportation is very important. If you drive too many cars, then there are fumes everywhere and you will get sick easily. Public transportation includes taxis, buses, minibuses, trains, trams and ferries. The worst one is the taxi because it has a few passengers and has fumes and it is expensive. Trains and trams are the best because they are cheap and have no fumes. There are lots of passengers and they use electricity and follow the tracks. Nowadays, Hong Kong people forget about public transportation and use lots of cars. There is something very interesting which has no smoke and electricity, which is walking. I like fresh air and everyone likes fresh air, so please use public transportation or walk. 

Magical Dream World

Magical Dream World

If you sleep tight every night, you will go to the magical dream world. If you make a wish there, you can travel to any country you wish for. Every time you make a wish, lots of animals, friends and relatives will go with you. You can travel to different places with your mummy, daddy, brothers and sisters too. Just make a wish, without taking an aeroplane. You will also see a giant greenhouse in the magical dream world. The greenhouse contains lots of plants, trees and flowers. Inside the greenhouse, there is a smaller greenhouse. In the smaller greenhouse, there is another smaller greenhouse. You can go from door to door, again and again… Suddenly, you will hear a bell “Ding! Ding! Ding!” “Wake up, time for school”, mum said. That is the end of the adventure.

Disneyland Adventure

Disneyland Adventure

One day, our family went to Disneyland Hong Kong. When we were playing, I saw a sparkling drainage cover. I was very curious so I went to open it. I found that it was full of soil. I got a spade to dig a hole. There was a rainbow house inside. In the rainbow house, there were flying fish, never-pop bubbles, yummy food and a magic bed. When you go on the magic bed, it can take you flying around the house. If you want to go back to Disneyland, you just need to sprinkle a jar of gold into the soil so that you can go back to Disneyland. I loved this adventure so much!

I like magic

Last Sunday, I went to the carnival in Victoria Park. We saw a magician. The magician played lots of magic tricks using poker cards. He got the cards from many different places, sometimes from my ears, sometimes from his mouth, and sometimes from his hands. I was thrilled because I like magic tricks so much. When I was a magician, I would bring lots of yummy food to all the children in the world by using magic tricks.

If you don’t have it, you will be very sad.

This is very important to everyone.

Mummy, daddy, sister, and brother all live there.

Once upon a time, I was fishing in Anna Lake. I caught a big fish. This was the first fish I ever caught. I took it back home and shared it with my family. I found a smaller fish in the fish’s tummy. Then, I found another fish in the smaller fish’s tummy… Eventually, I found six fish in total. I invited my grandfather, grandmother, aunt and uncle to join our party. We ate fish and rice. We ate a lot and played games after dinner. After the games, we went for a walk. I suggested to fish again for the next party. Everyone agreed!

Everyone likes to do sport because sports are very good. Some people do exercise at 6 o’ clock early in the morning. At night people will do sports too. They just need to turn on the light. You need to warm up before you do a sport, so that your muscles will not get hurt easily. After doing exercise, you need to walk and warm down. Badminton will make you grow taller because you do lots of stretching. Football will make your legs strong because you need to kick. Running is a good sport because you will sweat a lot. Ping pong is my favourite sport. It is so much fun! Which sport do you like?

Wind is very important. If there is no wind on the earth, then we can’t breathe. Wind can also come into our house through the windows. The wind blows very softly at night when it is time to rest. Sometimes the wind blows very strongly when it is very angry. If there is a typhoon, the car will go shake, shake, shake! On a very hot day, you may see a tornado. Everything is sucked inside it. Sometimes we can see a sea tornado. All the fish will have a flying party! My only question is “Where does the wind come from?”

Once upon a time, there was a tiger. He was hungry. He hunted animals to eat. It was summer and very hot. He was very ill and needed animals to help him. None of the animals wanted to help because they thought they might be eaten by the tiger. A white rhinoceros wanted to help. He told the tiger to climb onto his back. The tiger climbed onto his back and the white rhinoceros made a promise to him. The promise was that after the white rhinoceros had taken him to the vet, the white rhinoceros would hunt food for him. The white rhinoceros hunted for food for the tiger for two months. The food was grass. Two months later, the tiger loved to eat grass. He didn't eat animals anymore. Finally, the tiger had a good friend who was the white rhinoceros.

The happy ray

Once upon a time, there was a ray. He was looking for someone to play with. When he was swimming, he found a little fish. The ray said “Can you play with me?” The little fish replied “Sorry, I can’t play with you because I’m hungry.” Then, the ray swam away. He swam towards the North and up to the Arctic Ocean. He saw a special coral reef. It looked like a rainbow because there was a rainbow on top of the water. That is why that coral reef was so colourful. Suddenly, a shark appeared and wanted to eat the ray. The ray swam faster and faster. The shark also followed him faster and faster. Unfortunately, the ray got stuck in the seaweed. He got an idea and wanted to eat the seaweed. Just one little bite. He let go of the seaweed. He swam through the gap between two stones. The shark also followed him, but he got stuck in the gap. Finally, he found something to play with. He tickled the shark for an hour. It was so much fun!

The queen said “When it is spring, we will buy them again!” Time flew by and it was springtime again. The queen gave ten stones to the servant, but the oranges now cost twenty stones. He telephoned the queen. He told her everything but found that the peaches only cost ten stones. He bought the peaches and went back to the palace. He gave her the peaches and she thought they were oranges because she could not see that they were peaches. The queen said “Very yummy!” The servant told her the truth. She loved peaches very much.

Pacific Ocean

Pacific Ocean

The Pacific Ocean was formed many many years ago. Do not throw garbage in the Pacific Ocean because it is so big and beautiful. Everybody likes to play in the Pacific Ocean. You can play with the sand or waves, and go water-skiing, surfing, snorkeling, and diving. The water is good and warm. Coral reefs are so pretty. Some coral reefs are colourful but some are black. You can find lots of sea urchins there, but they can hurt your feet. In the Pacific Ocean, you can see lots of sea animals. For example, fish, whales, seahorses, sea turtles and sharks. If you are swimming there, you should keep your eyes open for sharks. They are very dangerous and eat everything. My favourite fish are rainbowfish because they are gorgeous. I wish I could find a fish that looks like rainbowfish in the Pacific Ocean.

My Bali trip

My Bali trip

This summer, we went to Bali in Indonesia. I was very happy! When I swam at the hotel, I made some new friends. I also played with my little sister, Jun. We collected lots of leaves and flowers. I played on the water slides, in the baby swimming pool, in the hot pool, in the cold pool, and on the water stairs. There was another swimming pool but it was so deep, so not many children swam in there. The swimming pool under the longest slide was just right for me. I liked to play there. Another day, we went to the beach. The waves were very big, but I liked to play there. When the waves came, we ran back to shore. We also dug two huge holes, so we could wash our feet and hands. On the trip, I had eaten tons of pizza and seen a lot of stars. I love Bali so much and I wish to go back there again on Jun’s birthday.

The ant

There is an ant. He is very hungry and wants to eat something. The ant wants to eat a banana, but the banana is too big and cannot fit in his house. Then, he finds an orange. It is small and can fit in his house. However, he cannot peel off the skin because the skin is too thick. At last, the ant finds something that can fit in his house and can bite it well, which is an apple. When the ant starts to eat the apple, an acrobat found that apple and brings it to the stage. The ant is very surprised because he is already on a stage. The acrobat throws the apple to a crown. The crown juggles it with other apples. The ant thinks that he is riding on a roller coaster. However, the apple and the ant fall off and they land on the lion tamer’s whip. The apple has been cut into halves. It gives the ant a hard time to decide which piece he is bringing back home.

The last nail

Once upon a time, there was a monkey and an octopus. The monkey said “Octopus, can you help me to build my wooden treehouse?” The octopus said “Okay. I will help you to build a treehouse but I need some time.” After a long time, the octopus had almost finished but he needed one more nail. The monkey asked the other animals for a nail, but all of them had run out of nails. The octopus told the monkey to look after the treehouse and he went to the sea animals to ask if they had got any nails. He went very far away. He finally found a whale with a bunch of nails. “Can I borrow a nail?” asked the octopus. The whale said “Yes, of course.” The octopus swam back to the jungle. But when he took the nail out, it was brown and rusty. He made a phone call to the whale and asked, “Could you send me another nail?” The whale said, “Yes, I will send it right away.” Finally, the treehouse was built and the monkey lived in the treehouse happily ever after.

A Long, long time ago, there was a King flying in a jet. He travelled around the world to rescue different animals. One day, he saw a lion cub that was very miserable because he could not find any food. The King brought him back to his castle. He locked the lion in a cage and fed him food. All the people in the castle were very scared of the lion. When the servant fed him food, he bit his finger. The servant complained to the King but he said “it’s okay, he is just a cub”. When the lion grew a little bit bigger, the King put him into a room instead of a cage. When the servant fed the lion, he sneaked out of the room every time. The servant tried to catch him, but the lion ran too fast. He messed up everything in the castle, but the King was not mad and again he said “it’s okay, he is just a cub”. The King loved the lion cub so much; just like his daddy.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl and a horse standing on an iceberg. Suddenly, the iceberg started to melt because the sun came up. The little girl told the horse to run faster. When they arrived at the edge of the iceberg, the little girl screamed, “Stop!” Unfortunately, the horse slipped off the iceberg. They fell onto another tiny weeny iceberg. This tiny iceberg started to melt as well. They jumped to the next giant iceberg. There was a cave on this giant iceberg. They saw lots of stalactites and stalagmites. They were so beautiful, but the stalactites were falling down. They ran faster and faster. Finally, they fell into the water. They started to sink until a sea volcano exploded. It pushed them up and brought them back to shore.

A gigantic mouse

There was a caver called Leo. He was an expert in caving. One day, he saw a gigantic mouse in a cave. He wanted to bring the mouse out of the cave, but the mouse fell down when they were climbing up the cave. When he caught the mouse, he put his lifeline on the mouse’s tail. They started to climb up again. The cave was very deep. They took a very long time to climb up. Finally, they reached the top, but the exit was too narrow. He could come out, but the gigantic mouse could not. He called all the people to come and help. They pulled and pulled, but still the mouse was stuck. They called all the children to come and help. They pulled and pulled, but still the mouse could not get out. The mums and dads brought the babies for help. They pulled and pulled. Finally, the mouse popped out. The mouse said, “Thank you, everyone. I will not eat sweet food anymore.”

If I were an astronaut

If I were an astronaut, I would fly to outerspace. I would float around or upside down walking on the ceiling. I would eat without holding a spoon, fork, or chopsticks. I had a dream about being an astronaut. I went out of the spaceship and played in space. I liked to stay there alone because it was so quiet. I ran around the moon and the earth four times, like a figure eight. I polished the stars because they were not shiny. After my hard work, all the stars were bright again. Suddenly, one of the stars was running away from the others. I tried to catch it but it was too fast. I had an idea! I jumped back into the spaceship and flew at the speed of light to catch the star. Finally, I caught the naughty star. I put it back into its original position. After that, I was so tired, I flew back home as fast as I could. Do you want to be an astronaut?

If I can fly

If I can fly, I will be as free as a bird. But how can I fly in the air? I can ride in a hot air balloon, but Mum told me to keep away from fire. I can fly in an aeroplane, but the aeroplane is too big. How can it fit into our house? How about petting a giant eagle and riding on it? However, when it turns, I will easily fall off. What about jumping out of a helicopter and paragliding in the sky? But the wind can be very strong. I cannot land on the beach so I will land on the sea. I think the best way is by “magic”. With magic, I can fly in the air. I can fly to the biggest Disneyland which is in Paris. I can fly three times around the world. I can also fly to iceberg B-15 which is the largest recorded iceberg in the world. Remember to hold on tight with your magic wand and don’t drop it!

A long, long time ago, people didn’t have houses and lived in caves. They didn’t have money. They grew vegetables and hunted animals to eat. They made tools from rocks and sticks for hunting. They had no paper or books. They drew on the wall. They didn’t have clothes like we do. They wore animal fur or skins. They drank water and took bathes in the river. The children had no TV, so they played hide and seek or some outdoor games. Nowadays, people have money. We work in jobs and earn money. We can buy food from supermarkets. Some people can buy a house. We can travel to different places by cars, ships, trains, and aeroplanes. The children can play indoor or outdoor games, toys with batteries, watch TV or go to movies. The apartments or houses are very beautiful and we can turn on the air conditioner in summer and a heater in winter. Would you like to live in the past or present?

My 10 Day Plan for Easter

My 10 Day Plan for Easter

On the first day of my holiday, I will go to Taikoo Park with my best friend. On the next day, I will go to Macau with Wing Wing. We will take a bus and visit the Science Museum because it will be fun. On the third day, I will fly a helicopter by myself to Disneyland. On the day after that I will take a spaceship to outer space and travel to Marstable. On the fifth day, I will read a lot of books and go to watch a magic show. On the sixth day, I will go for a magical adventure in Marstable. On the seventh day, I will take the rainbow train back to our own world. On the next two days, I will drive a car to the Ocean. It will transform into a submarine under the sea. I will go inside the stomach of a shark because I want to know what it looks like. On the last day, I will be a scientist and travel back to the first day of my holiday by using a time machine.

Another World

Marstable was a name of another world. If you wanted to travel to Marstable from our real world, you needed to dive into the Magic black hole. A triangular planet with lots of spots was a moon of Marstable. In Marstable, the ocean was black, the mountains were black, the people were grey, the buildings were grey, and the cars were also grey. Only one thing was colourful, which was the rainbow train. It could take you out of Marstable, back to our real world. The children in Marstable were playing all day. They learnt everything from games. They ate chocolate sandwiches and ice-cream all the time. If you wanted to go to Marstable, you could ride on a rocket. Keep your eyes on the first black hole. This was the magic black hole.

Floating Powder

Once upon a time, there was a little frog. He was working on an experiment. This experiment was about floating powder, but he needed someone to help him. He went out of his laboratory. He looked everywhere for someone to help him, but he could only find an elephant. Then, they walked and walked. They walked to an extremely quiet place. They were too hot, so they dived into the swimming pool. The elephant could not swim. The frog put some floating powder into the swimming pool. Then, the elephant was able to swim back to the shore. A dog was making a duck statue. The statue was big and tall. He climbed on the ladder because he wanted to make the eyes. Suddenly, he fell off and floated on the water. This was because of the floating powder. A handful worked for twenty-four hours. The dog, the elephant and the frog gave the floating powder to all the lifeguards. There were no drownings anymore.

Once upon a time, a boy had a cat. One day, the cat was missing. The little boy cried because the cat was his only friend. The cat ran away and was looking for one more friend. The cat found another cat, but that cat was busy because she was a guide cat and needed to help her blind owner. A few days later, she found a dog in a farm. This dog was very busy too, because he was the leader of the sheep. The cat walked and walked. She walked to a pond. She found a goose. However, that mother goose was going to give birth and did not want to leave her home. The cat decided to go home. On her way back home, she found an ant. “Would you like to be my friend?” asked the cat. “Yes, I would like to be your friend.” said the ant. Finally, the cat took the ant back home. The little boy was very happy because he played with the cat and the ant everyday.
